The hardest part was that the shadows were different on each photo and some of them were different ages, so I had to split the difference between the details and shadows.
This was the last family photo taken before their mother died, so it was important for it to come together right. In the end, I had to settle for approximate likenesses and get the feeling of the photo. I hope I captured this moment of togetherness for them.
Here is what the client said, " I sat the painting up where I could see it in the living room last night. I love it more and more the longer I look at it. Thank you so very much for going the extra mile and then some on this. I am sorry it was so difficult but you were definitely up to the challenge! I will treasure this forever." |
