The business part of the art business takes so much more time than I imagined it would! Marketing and promoting my art and my classes is a takes time and money!
I have found that I have to keep re-adjusting my priorities. Most of all I have to keep my head up. Just like walking a slack line, I can't be looking at my feet, I have to keep my head up and fix my gaze on a point ahead where I want to go. My feet will go in front of each other one step at a time.
Remember the Bible story where Jesus is walking on the water and calls Peter to walk with him. Peter does so as long as he is focused on Jesus, but the moment he let the fear of what was happening around him get into his head he begins to sink. He lost his balance. Jesus catches him and pulls him up.
This painting is of a brave dear one focusing on what is ahead, putting one foot in front of the other. If you look closely you can see the hand of God ready to catch her if she falls. It is from my series called showers of blessings. This little piece is available here if you want an original piece of artwork to hang in your home to inspire you and remind you that God is there for you!
When in your life have you felt God's hand steadying your feet, protecting you, ready to catch you?
