The girl leaning against the tree is absorbed in her book. The colors of the leaves sparkle with gold paint and it has a magical feeling to it.
As I painted this I was thinking about the time that I stopped at a park on my way home from work, just to sit and read the Bible and spend time with God. Every leaf sparkled that day as I soaked in His love for me and poured my heart out to Him. Reading the Bible that day was like pouring over a love letter, hanging on every word!
You can purchase this painting here on my website, or see it in person at the Coffeegirl in Harlan!
Reading and painting go together! At least they do this summer at the Elk Horn Library! The theme for the summer reading program is "Reading colors your world." So I will be teaching a couple classes on a reading theme.
