This is how our community is encouraging each other! It started out as a community with a rainy day, watch how it turned into spring after someone shared the hope that they heard from God!
Now, I feel useful, helpful, and full of ideas on how to help out the small businesses in my town and encourage the lonely. He knew this would happen, and yet He called me to pursue my art right now anyway. He has a plan, and He doesn’t make mistakes! So I just need to rest against His chest and listen for His hearbeat because God’s presence made all the difference.
Turns out, my kids got bored and started to do some of the homework on their own. They read books, and my daughter even joined me and did a painting of her own. God is so good, when I learn to relax and trust Him, it changes everything. It changed the way I looked at this situation of isolation.
So my challenge is this….
1. Find HOPE… stay positive, focus on the good things, be full of faith not fear, trust God
2. Share HOPE…. Reach out to those around us and find ways to encourage them
3. Meet needs… Its the perfect time to look for ways to help our neighbors and share the love of Christ; bring someone a meal, or share toilet paper, make a card or send an ecard.
4. PRAY……talk to God about your feelings, ask Him for wisdom, pray for our leaders to make good decisions, pray that His will be done, look for ways to do good and share His love with others. Pray for those who are sick, pray that this pandemic will be cut short and stop spreading. Pray for a cure.
5. Love on your family… pull your family close and love on them, do a puzzle or a craft, make a memory, let this time at home help you connect. The kids, even the littles, are picking up on all the stress around them. There will be tantrums, the kids might even have tantrums too! :)
Look around, there are plenty of ways to share HOPE!
Blessings to you and your family. Stay tuned, check out my Youtube channel to see how I painted this! Keep in touch because I have something new starting here on this site real soon!
